As a mission-based nonprofit organization, Goodwill Hawaii cares deeply for the healthy and safety of the program participants we serve as well as the many employees, donors, shoppers, and volunteers that allow us to help others in our communities every day. We have been actively monitoring the current situation of COVID-19 for developments and will do our best to keep you informed of any impacts and/or changes to our operations here as well as through our other channels including social media and direct email.

UPDATES:

COVID-19 UNEMPLOYMENT SERVICES

  • If you have been recently displaced or furloughed from work due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Goodwill Hawaii can assist with applying for benefits such as Unemployment Benefits, Emergency Financial Aid, Health Insurance Coverage. STORES & DONATION CENTERS

  • Just a friendly reminder that we ARE NOT ACCEPTING donations at this time. All of our stores and donation centers are temporarily closed through April 30. Please continue to check back for more updates.

UPDATES:

STORES & DONATION CENTERS

  • All Goodwill Hawaii stores and donation centers statewide are closed, in response to our local government’s shelter-in-place orders to prevent the spread of Covid-19. We will make an announcement when we plan to re-open, once the order has been lifted.
    • We are asking for the community’s cooperation at this time: DO NOT DROP OFF/LEAVE DONATIONS at any of our locations during this closure so that we can ensure our neighborhoods remain safe and clean.
  • The opening of our new Pahoa Store & Donation Center has been postponed until further notice.

EMPLOYMENT SERVICES

  • Our program locations providing essential services to the public, will remain open while following the official guidelines for social distancing. Following is a list of programs currently providing services to the community. Please contact us by phone or email for further information. We are NOT ACCEPTING WALK-INS.For recently dislocated workers and others looking for services to gain new work skills and/or advance their careers.
  • By DHS Referral only:
  • All of our community tax clinics have been closed. Community members who have already scheduled appointments will be receiving further communication with more directions. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact CRED@higoodwill.org.
  • Further information regarding directions for specific programs will be communicated directly to participants by your Goodwill Hawaii program coordinator, employment counselor or support teams. Please make sure that they have your most current contact information.

OTHER SERVICES

  • Our Secure Document Destruction services are closed to the public.
  • We have taken additional measures to clean and sanitize the Goodwill locations and offices that will continue to remain open for essential business. We’ve also reminded employees to take precautionary health measures including, frequently washing their hands, wearing personal protective equipment, practicing social distancing, staying home when sick, and eliminating non-essential work travel until further notice.
