"building Goodwill works" Capital Campaign
Ohana Career and Learning Center
Over the past two years, Goodwill Industries of Hawaii has been raising funds to raise $11 million to build the Ohana Career and Learning Center in Kapolei to serve Leeward Oahu. The Center will prepare people to enter the workforce and obtain good jobs, build a better future for their families and strengthen their communities. It will also be a place where the entire family can learn and grow together.
You can help Goodwill build the Ohana Career and Learning Center.
Your gift helps people get jobs.
Expanding Capacity
Community need for Goodwill’s services has tripled since 2001, with one-third of the clients residing on the Leeward Coast of Oahu. Client services provided at Goodwill’s current locations are at their maximum capacity.
The future Ohana Career and Learning Center, located in the Kapolei Business Park, will expand Goodwill's capacity to provide its workforce development and employment placement services to the fastest growing community on Oahu. By providing services in a nearby and accessible location, clients can attend their training programs and employment services in the communities where they reside - closer to home and closer to their families.
Features of the Ohana Career and Learning Center
The Ohana Career and Learning Center will offer training classes, skill building and job counseling to more than 1,600 people annually. With a state-of-the-art computer lab and advanced multimedia-equipped training rooms, the center will be a valuable resource to help individuals achieve their personal career goals.
