Employment Counselor (FTW SEE/UFUE Hilo)
Job Description Summary:
Provides case management, employment counseling, job placement, and job counseling/retention after placement to clients. To expedite successful placements, Employment Counselors will also conduct employer outreach and job development. Performs barrier assessment and other social work activities during the provision of services.
Education/Qualification Requirement:
Experience with welfare to work population; prefer a BA and/or one to two years related Human Service experience. Customer Service experience in working with resistant and/or hard to serve clients. Excellent communication and organization skills. Counseling and experience with job preparedness skills a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Comfortable with public speaking and motivational interviewing techniques.
