How Each Department Contributes to the Mission
Donations/Retail/Operations—earns revenue to support the mission and educates people in our community on Goodwill's mission through our stores and donation centers.
Human Services—provides programs that fulfill the mission by providing occupational skills training, career development, and social services to Goodwill clients.
NISH Contracts—provides jobs for clients with disabilities.
Hilo—Goodwill’s first neighbor island branch provides Human Services programs and a Goodwill store for the Big Island community.
Executive Office/Board of Directors—builds community relationships and develops plans to serve more people.
Administrative Services—includes Human Resources, Information Technology, Safety, Corporate Services, and Finance. Provides support services to staff and managers to enable them to better do their jobs.
Who Goodwill Serves
Goodwill Industries of Hawaii has been in business in the State of Hawaii since 1959 providing vocational training and employment services to persons with barriers to employment, including:
Individuals with disabilities;
Adults who are economically disadvantaged;
At-risk youth;
Disabled veterans;
Asian and Pacific Islander immigrants;
Ex-offenders;
Older individuals and dislocated workers; and
Welfare to work, TANF, TAONF and Food Stamp recipients.
Goodwill Industries of Hawaii is affiliated with Goodwill Industries International, (GII) an organization that includes member agencies in the U.S. and Canada, and affiliates in countries around the world.
Goodwill Industries of Hawaii is accredited by CARF and received its most recent accreditation in 2007.
Goodwill is a member of the National Rehabilitation Association, Hawaii Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations, Retail Merchants of Hawaii, Chamber of Commerce, and Aloha United Way.
