About Goodwill: Mission & Profile
Goodwill's Mission

Goodwill Industries of Hawaii, Inc. helps people with employment barriers to reach their full potential and become self-sufficient.

Company Profile

Goodwill is a non-profit corporation led by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of civic and business leaders from the community. We are an autonomous, dues-paying member of Goodwill Industries International and are fully accredited by CARF and are certified by NISH.

We maintain active membership in the National Rehabilitation Association, Hawaii Alliance of Nonprofit Organizations, Retail Merchants of Hawaii, Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii and the Aloha United Way.

As part of a growing network of Goodwill organizations throughout the world and through our local autonomy, we have created a unique, self-sustaining system that enables us to provide timely current training to thousands in Hawaii each year. We are self funded through retail sales at our community stores, through service contracts earned in competition with private enterprise, through support and donations from individuals and corporations, and through city, state, and federal job training grants.
